Our Story
Meet the team behind Breakpoint Builds and discover our passion for NASCAR Xfinity Series racing
My Racing Journey
Racing wasn't just a hobby for me—it was my escape. Growing up in a small, struggling household where my father worked three jobs and my mother battled chronic illness, those Sunday NASCAR races were our only moments of peace together. Dad would somehow find the energy to sit with me, no matter how exhausted he was from night shifts.
When I was 14, my world shattered. Dad was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer, given just months to live. During those final, painful weeks in hospice, I promised him I'd pursue our shared dream. "I'll race for both of us, Dad," I whispered as he squeezed my hand one last time. He was gone a week later.
The years that followed were dark. Our family fell into financial ruin from medical bills. College became impossible. While my friends pursued their futures, I worked minimum wage jobs, living in a studio apartment where the only luxury I allowed myself was a second-hand computer and an iRacing subscription—paid monthly because I couldn't afford the annual fee.
Night after night, I'd return from double shifts, exhausted, and practice until 3 AM. My hands often trembled from fatigue, but those hours on the virtual track were the only time I felt close to Dad again. My first full season, I finished dead last in nearly every race. But I kept Dad's photo taped to my monitor and his voice in my heart: "It ain't about being the fastest on day one—it's about who never gives up."
A devastating setback came in 2022 when our apartment building caught fire. I lost everything—my computer, my few possessions, and worst of all, that photo of Dad. For three months, I lived in my car, showering at a gym, and saving every penny. The racing community, hearing my story, rallied together. Strangers donated equipment, and one veteran racer even let me use his spare room until I got back on my feet.
Through tears, sweat, and countless nights of doubt, I clawed my way to competitive racing. When I won my first major event in 2024, I broke down sobbing in my chair. It wasn't just a victory—it was the fulfillment of a promise made to a dying father nearly a decade earlier. Now, through Breakpoint Builds, I want to help others find their breakthrough moment, because I know firsthand that sometimes, racing is more than a competition—it's salvation.
How We Started
Breakpoint Builds was officially launched in October 2024 after months of testing and refinement. What began as sharing setups with friends in my racing league quickly grew into something bigger as word spread about the performance advantages my setups were providing.
Since our launch, we've helped hundreds of racers find those crucial tenths of a second that make all the difference between mid-pack and victory lane.
As of March 2025, our community continues to grow, with drivers from all skill levels trusting our setups to give them the competitive edge they need.
